Overview
TellWell (“the Service”) is an AI-powered platform for collecting customer testimonials and employee exit interviews through conversational AI. This policy describes what data we collect, how we process it, and your rights.
What we collect
- Account information: Email address used for authentication via magic link login.
- Project configuration: Project names, descriptions, custom questions, branding settings, and testimonial wall preferences you create in your dashboard.
- Interview responses: Any information respondents voluntarily provide during AI-guided interview conversations, including name, company, role, and their responses to interview questions.
- Payment information: Billing details are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
- Usage data: We track testimonial usage counts per billing period to enforce plan limits.
How we use data
- AI processing: Interview conversations are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate conversational responses during the interview and to extract structured testimonials (quotes, summaries, tags, ratings) from completed interviews. Anthropic processes this data under their data usage policies and does not use API inputs to train models.
- Email delivery: We use Resend to send magic link authentication emails and optional notification emails. Your email address is shared with Resend solely for delivery purposes.
- Payment processing: Stripe handles all payment processing, subscription management, and billing. Your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data storage
All application data (accounts, projects, interviews, testimonials) is stored in Turso, a distributed SQLite database service. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States.
Data retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active.
- Interview and testimonial data is retained as long as the associated project exists. Deleting a project permanently removes all interviews, testimonials, and wall data associated with it.
- You can delete individual projects and all associated data at any time from your dashboard.
Public testimonial walls
When you publish a testimonial wall, approved testimonials (including respondent name, company, role, quote, and rating) become publicly accessible at the wall URL and via the embeddable widget. You control which testimonials are approved and displayed.
Mobile information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can also delete your projects and associated data directly from your dashboard.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
